The latest news in March 2021 is very positive for Turkey and its tourism sector. In a recent article in Hurriet Daily News https://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/virus-measures-to-back-tourism-recovery-in-2021-expert-162040 Taleb Rifai, secretary-general of the UK-based World Tourism Forum Institute (WTFI) stated: “Turkey is doing very well. If Turkey continues to transmit trust and confidence to the visitors, it may catch pre-2020-rates before the end of 2021″

According to official data (collated by Our World in Data) Turkey is doing well in Vaccinating its own citizens. Having vaccinated 12.1 citizens in every 100. This figure is below the UK but above other European countries such as Switzerland, Poland, Spain, Germany, Italy and France.
