Lycian Way Holidays Guest Photos and Comments

It’s been another great season on The Lycian Way. We have really enjoyed meeting so many lovely hikers.

For this year we asked guests to send in some of their photos and would like to show them off in the next couple of posts. I hope you will agree there are some great pics. Lovely memories of your holiday on The Lycian Way.

Hi Aysegul

First and foremost thank you for a great couple of weeks walking the Lycian Way. It all went well. The scenery, as promised was stunning. The accommodation was all excellent. We particularly enjoyed some of the more idiosyncratic moments, Tim’s dogs and cats, staying in a family home at Sidyma and Metin Bey’s after dinner conversation via Google Translate.

We constantly were struck by the friendliness and generosity of the Turkish people we met on the walk, including the family who took us in, soaking wet, to shelter from an apocalyptic rainstorm. And an unforgettable ride on the back of a tractor with the greenhouse guys.

A great feature of our holiday with you was the personal service and flexibility, re-arranging our transfer at the last minute after the Thomas Cook collapse, changing our rest day to fit with the weather conditions, collecting us and dropping us off to enjoy the walk to best advantage.

A big thank you to Aysegul’s mum and dad, who helped us this year with hosting & cooking at our guesthouse Meyveli Ev. So many guests commented on the lovely food that we are going to invite them back for Spring 2020!
