Many of our guests like to extra days to their Lycian way holiday. We often get asked ‘what is there to do on rest days?’ The answer is there are lots of things to see and do in the region. Here are some great choices for you to consider:

A day boat trip on a wooden gulet sailing boat. Day trips go from popular destinations such as Fethiye, Kalkan and Kas. They include buffet lunches with food such as Turkish mezes, fresh fish, chicken and salads. The smaller boats usually take numbers of between 8-15 people to nearby islands and beauty spots. Mask and snorkels can be borrowed on the boat and alcoholic and soft drinks are available to buy. Boat trips are a great way to relax, swim, snorkel and see your surroundings.

There are some lovely beaches to relax on incluing Patara, Kaputas and Karadere. Out of season it is quite likely that you will be the only ones on the beach.

Coastal towns and citites such as Fethiye, Antalya, Kas and Kalkan all have parts that contain much of thier traditional turkish character and are great to enjoy a coffee do some retail therapy or just relax and watch the world go by.

Small villages like Kayakoy and Kalekoy are well worth exploring if you have time, they have a wealth of history to explore in relaxed surroundings.
